You will need to follow all the steps described here to have a working setup. This includes helps on how to setup your Debian system, but it assumes that you know Debian already and that you know what you are doing.
Please note that, currently, you'd better of using the Git version of both DTC and DTC-Xen, as we have added numerous improvements that are not in the stable release. We are also currently working on a CentOS port, and supporting libvirt, to allow a bigger user base to use DTC and DTC-Xen. Note that DTC already supports CentOS.

You might also need to setup some windows box for internal purposes. Don't mistake with what I'm saying, we DO NOT think hosting with windows is a good thing, we just use it for internal use to do our accounting. You might need it as well, so here's a little bit of help.
