The vhosts.conf file is always overwritten by the panel, how to do?

That file WILL be overwritten by the control panel, and it's NOT the place to do customization. If you need specific things, you can:

  • contribute to the code of the control panel itself (the script that generates it is in dtc/admin/genfiles/gen_pro_vhosts.php). This is best way, but it's not for everybody, you need to understand php.
  • use the .htaccess file in your site directory
  • customize directly /etc/apache/httpd.conf (or /etc/apache2/apache.conf for apache2).
  • set the vhost not to be generated by the panel at all (that is done with the radio buttons in the subdomain section of the client interface), and copy/past the vhost configuration in the main httpd.conf with your customization.
