PHPSafeMode

How to change the PHP Safe Mode Option.

Turning off PHP Safe Mode in DTC is a two step process.

1. The domain has to be authorised to turn off PHP Safe Mode. 2. The subdomain has to have the setting turned off.

Step 1. This step can only be performed by the site admin.

  • In your DTC Admin go to: User Manager
  • Choose the Virtual Admin who owns the domain you want to change.
  • Choose Domain config
  • Turn off the PHP safe_mode check box for the clients domain.
  • Click the green tick to save the changes

This step only authorises the domain to turn off PHP Safe Mode, it doesn't actually make the change in Apache.

Step 2.

  • In your DTC Admin go to: User Manager
  • Choose the Virtual Admin who owns the domain you want to change.
  • Choose Client interface
  • Choose the domain you want to change
  • Choose Sub-domains
  • Choose the sub-domain you want to change
  • Set PHP safe mode: to No.
  • Click the green save tick to save your changes.

Note: If you can't see the PHP safe mode: field then you have not completed the changes in step one.
